The movie last night was not interrupted by baby cries, nor did I get woken up during the night… That is I got woken up at 5am instead. It was a vast improvement from the previous days, but still a little early so I tried nursing her back to sleep… That didn’t work – we tried putting her in bed with us and that failed too. After 2 hours!!! of trying it finally worked and she slept for another hour and a bit…
Arjan came over and we had breakfast. Morfar and Arjan went back to Nils whilst Mike and I got Sofia to sleep. Then Mormor dropped me off at Nils, on the way to shopping. There we got some one on one sister-brother time. We don’t get to see each other much anymore so it was nice to see and talk to him. So hard to see him struggle like that however, and it makes me really wish there was something I could do. Anything. Anything at all.
Morfar drove me back. Sofia was awake and had been fed and taken care of by Mormor. We played for awhile – Sofia crawling and practicing standing up and walking. Once Sofia was in bed again Mike and I went for a walk to the shops. There we met Arjan.., he said Morfar was outside waiting for us. Arjans mum, Berit, was also at the store. I haven’t seen her in ages!
When we got back Mormor told us Sofia had woken up straight after we left. I fed Sofia dinner and then Morfar, Mike and I played badminton with Arjan whilst Mormor made dinner. Then we all had dinner. The guys entrecĂ´te and the girls breiflabb and crab :). Sofia also had some more millet and corn sticks. She loves them! Must feel good on her gums.
Once dinner was over Arjan and Morfar went back to Nils for the night and we played with Sofia until her bedtime. She would just not sleep! She didn’t cry either… She was talking to herself and doing gymnastics. 1.5 hours later we brought her back up and she played and sat on Mormors lap for another hour or so. She got really tired out on the balcony so we brought her downstairs and put her to bed again. This time she let me stroke her hair and she was asleep within minutes.
About an hour (10pm) in Sofia woke up crying and I went downstairs and picked her up, put her back down and stroke her hair. She seemed to fall back asleep instantly but was whinging a bit. She was soaking wet! So hot in the room. I stripped the sleeping bag off – hopefully she’ll sleep a lot better without it.
