Sofia woke up crying at 5am so I got up and nursed her, after that she slept till almost 8am!
We read books and had breakfast, but when she was sitting in the kitchen playing she fell backwards and hit her head. It made a little ‘dunk’ sound and she cried… it took a little consoling… I was a bit concerned, but once we started playing again she seemed to be all good. I paid extra attention to the monitor during her morning nap, which lasted 1.5 hours. When she woke up she seemed fine. We had lunch, and then we played again. I wanted to get out of the house, but there really isn’t much time between naps and she is moving around soooo much at the moment it almost feels cruel not letting her figure things out. She just keeps getting stronger and bolder…
The whole day she has been all of a sudden crying/whinging/wincing. It’s terrible as I don’t know what hurts, but then again it fits perfectly with ‘the wonder weeks’. According to this book she is in the middle of the worst week of the leap at the moment, so maybe development of the brain hurts sometimes poor girl.
I put her down for her second nap a little while after she showed tired signs, because it was just too early… but then she was too wired again when I put her down. She properly cried and was hard to console, and it took me about 1.5 hours to get her to sleep. I ended up giving her neurofen – and then she was asleep within 10-15min. She slept for 45min. I think she would have slept for longer, but the builders at the neighbours house decided to start up their most noisy machines and run around in them. I nearly went out and yelled at them!
Sofia and I played for a bit, then I took Pablo and Sofia for a short walk. That was the worst walk! Pablo kept pulling the entire way. Plus a dog off lead kept us company and played/terrorised Pablo for the length of the street.
When we got back we played some more. Sofia was trying to pull herself up, but not managing and getting frustrated. Then it was time for dinner and bedtime routine. Here is a video of her bath time (pretty funny). She whinged for a bit before she fell asleep.
