Sofia woke up crying(!) at 3am. Picking her up only seemed to help for a little bit, then it was proper crying again. I managed to settle her somewhat, but she kept whinging/ soft crying. Luckily Mike heard and came to see if he could help, because I couldn’t find the neurofen. After she had some pain relief I nursed her and an hour later I found my way back to bed.
It was 6.50am the next time she woke up. She looked like she’d had a rough night however, a bit dark red under her eyes. Once again she did not nurse properly so I gave her a bit I had expressed and she cried a bit again when there was non left. We read a couple of books and then she played by herself whilst I got breakfast ready.
After her nap we went to the library to finally hand in the books we have had for awhile now. We got 5 new once I think she’ll enjoy. I just hope she won’t miss ‘Where’s Lenny?’ too much :). On the way back I stopped at medicare (I had been told I needed to meet in person, with my ID, to get the new card). They had put me on the wrong waiting list however, and 20 minutes of waiting cleared that up… Sofia was tired, but soooo good. She was sitting there so quiet and having a look around whilst I filled out paperwork etc. So now she’s on my card as well, and my visa status is updated.
By the time I got her into bed she’d been awake for almost 3 hours. She only slept for 30min and could not put herself back to sleep. That always seems to be the case with her when she’s over tired. So… I got her back up and we played for awhile. I even invited the dog, and Pablo was doing well for 5 minutes or so but then he can’t help himself… he jumps down and tries to get on the mat to either lick her or her toys he he.
I tried to put her down for her 3rd nap, but she started crying/screaming and just would not let up. I didn’t know what to do. I haven’t heard her cry like that in awhile…. She cried for probably 15min, where I went in every few minutes to try and calm her down. It did not work and I ended up nursing her to sleep and letting her sleep on me, for there was no way she would have lasted until bedtime. She woke up after 15-20 minutes in almost like a panic and looked around. We cuddled before we had a bit more of a play, and we decided to FaceTime with mormor (Sofia’s, not mine ;)). Soo nice :). I really do think she’s recognising her now.
Then it was dinner time before Sofia’s bedtime routine. After she was in bed Mike made dinner and I took the dog for a walk.
Sofia has now managed to easily turn on the concave changing table (!), and she did – every time I had to change her nappy. Twice I had to do it with her laying on her tummy…. I actually got sweaty from changing her ha ha.

Thank you for a lovely talk. It will be fun seeing how she react to reality vs iPad ………
