Sofia woke up at 6am… so I fed her and read to her. She goes through pretty much all the books (7) every morning – she loves her morning cuddle / story time – and so do I :). I really do need to get to the library. Whilst I was feeding Sofia solids Pablo pokes his head out of the bedroom with a coat hanger in his mouth! I had to laugh and take a photo. Pablo’s hair was everywhere and the place had not been vacuumed since our holiday so I decided to go over the floors quickly whilst she was playing in her walker. I got most of the living room floor done before she started crying, so I picked her up and had her on my hip (that seemed to help) whilst I finished the tiled areas. Pablo followed us the entire way and kept licking my foot. Gosh that was fun – glad it was over quite quickly, but I had to laugh. Almost wished someone had taken a photo as it must have looked pretty funny.
I put Sofia down for her morning nap at 8.30am. During her nap I arranged to meet with a friend who had her birthday whilst we were away. I promised her I would treat her to lunch. When I tried to have a shower there was only icy cold water! Not cool… I had a very quick shower and ate leftovers from yesterdays lunch (yay! thank you so much Claire!). Sofia slept for an hour and twenty, which is pretty good. However, it was too early for lunch and her son was having a nap so… we continued our day. As I was going to cook Sofia’s lunch I realised the gas bottle was empty. Then I remembered the shower scene… Aaaaaaaaaaaarg! I cursed and wished I had got Mike to show me how to change gas bottles. Luckily I got him on the phone and he explained it to me. By the time my friend and toddler were ready it was time for Sofia to have her second nap.
Unfortunately Sofia only slept for 40 minutes, so I tired to put her back to sleep. However, it didn’t work so I got her back up and we met up with my friend at the park. We got a few things (plus a cake – you have to have cake if you are celebrating a birthday) from a local cafe and ate in the park. Then the little ones (and the big ones) had a play on the playground. Here is a video of Sofia on the swing for the first time. I was thinking we needed to leave when Sofia started making her little noises that let me know I was right, so I listened and we left. It was great to see her and we are going to try and make it a weekly thing as we have been trying to previously. They have moved so much closer so there really shouldn’t be any reasons why we shouldn’t be able to pull that off 🙂
When we got back Sofia was put to bed and fell asleep quickly, and she slept for about an hour. When she got up it was time for food, play, solids and then the night time routine. She had problems falling asleep, and after 20min she started crying a bit so I went in. I tried to help her, but she she didn’t seem to be able to get comfortable on me so I put her back in bed. I went to get a soft cloth/toy to try, because she did seem to enjoy cuddling me… but she was sooooo quiet when I got back so I let her be and 5 minutes later she was asleep.
Sofia was very cuddly all day, and did not like it when I left the room… She seems more attached to me than she normally is…

Sofia really starts to enjoy life…… By the way, I MUST take a photo when you carry Sofia in the pouch and vacuuming and the dog running with you, that must be a picture that would win a prize…….. -:)
