Mark is now gone on holiday and Mike is now alone at work for 3 weeks. Sofia slept through again, till 6am. She did wake and protest a bit around 3am, but she didn’t cry so I waited a few minutes and she fell back asleep. We all went for a quick family walk.
Sofia and I just played and took it easy today. Pablo is feeling a bit left out, but it can’t be helped. If I let him into the play room, even if he does behave, he rubs himself on the rug, and leaves hairs and wet spots (from licking) everywhere.
Sofia has now found that she can get her feet and toes all the way up to her face, so they are there most of the time when she’s on the changing table. She found the velcro on her nappy and pulled it half way – oh no this can’t be good ha ha. She kicks and kicks when she’s being breastfed, and arches her back… All limbs are on constant GO all the time (sometimes even in her sleep ha ha). She is constantly launching herself towards something. She has also really started crying if she wants something and is not getting it, or if I am taking her away from something she thought was fun. Today has been pretty exhausting…
I kept up not letting her get sleepy on the boob before naps/bedtime and she really did well today. I only had to go back in once today. Sofia was asleep at 7.15pm and I cooked dinner. Mike didn’t get home until after 8pm so I put his dinner in the oven.
I’m exhausted now (9.30pm) and I am going to bed…
Sofia is getting her 6month vaccination shots tomorrow at 10am and I am really not looking forward to it.
I included a photo my mum sent of her as a baby (4 generation of women). I would soooo much love to do the same!
