Sofia woke up crying at 5am, Mike went in and we got another 30minutes. Then I got up with Sofia. After a snack and a play we all went for a walk. Afterwards I had a shower whilst Mike played with Sofia. Then we swapped so Mike could get ready for work. Sofia and I had breakfast and another play. Sofia got tired so quickly so I put her to bed at 8.30. She slept for an hour.
When she woke up she had a snack and we left to test out a music ‘lesson’. We got there a little bit late, but it seemed very nice. Sofia was smiling big the entire time :). First when we got there we played with instruments, then there was a story that was read with the use of scarfs to make it more fun and interactive. Very clever. At the end we said goodbye to each of the babies/kids – they got a duck to hug and pass on – very sweet. Sofia was not happy about having to leave so soon, and when everyone else went for the door she made a direct line for the instruments. The tutor said we were welcome to stay – also that it was just a trial session so no payment needed. So Sofia and I hung out for a bit longer until a smell was lingering around my little girl… She had filled her nappy so it was time to go. When we got back we played for a bit and then it was time for lunch.
After lunch she was rubbing her eyes a lot so it was straight to bed. Sofia only slept for 30-40minutes. I was trying to get her sleeping a bit more but she was crying and was not easy to console… I put her on the boob and that seemed to calm her. She started farting like crazy again though and I think maybe it was an upset tummy that woke her and that was making her uncomfortable.
After awhile in my arms she seemed much better and was keen to get up and moving, so I got her dressed and went to the park with her. The first half she was just sitting there playing with the bark. She picks up a bunch and let the fall to the ground through her fingers. All of a sudden she raised her hand over her head and did it – and it all came flying onto her face! Poor thing, I had to help get some of it off around her eyes. Then the second half we walked and used the slide. She wants to touch every bush and every flower… We went home and Sofia had dinner. Afterwards I started the nighttime routine. Mike got home just before Sofia was ready to get out of the bath. It was nice to see him home early. The aim was to try and have Sofia in bed by 5.30, but hard to do so early. At least Sofia was asleep by 6am.
